Teaching
Courses I have taught or am scheduled to teach:
Physics 327: Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics
Physics 212: Modern Physics
Physics 312: Classical Mechanics
Physics 340: Computational Physics
Physics 360: Quantum Mechanics
Physics 221: Electronics Laboratory
Physics 100/102: Laboratory sections for Physics
Students can access my notes and assignments on D2L.
Over Winter Sessions, I also occasionally teach PHY 35: Physics Guide to life.
This is an online course designed for students who are interested in the ideas of physics but may not plan to major in it or even in any of the sciences. It is based on my published book. The purpose of the course is to provide an overview of the important concepts of physcs, spanning Newtons's laws to Quantum Mechanics and Relativity, with a minimal use of math, but abundance of analogies tied to common life experiences that all can relate to.
