The best way to access Italian American subjects is to browse Library of Congress Subject Headings.  Start with "Italian American" and browse the many subject headings.  Some examples are listed below.

If you are doing research on a famous Italian American you can use the list of Famous Italian Americans to get the exact spelling of his/her name.
