myWebCT Home Area

 

MyWebCT is a home page that assists the student in using WebCT.  The student can personalize the page by adding or removing links to courses.  After adding courses to the page, the student will not have to login to each one individually.  Once logged into myWebCT, it is possible to access each course directly by clicking on the corresponding link.  This will go directly to the home page of the course. Below each course name will be a listing of messages such as new mail, assignments, quizzes, grade updates, discussion postings, and multiple other events. This allows the student to quickly check if there is anything new in the classes.  MyWebCT also has links to various sites that may be helpful to the student while using WebCT.

WebCT 1^st Time Login Procedure

Student

 

1.       From WebCT Welcome page:

 

• Select: Create myWebCT.

 

2.      

 

• Enter all required information. Your WebCT ID and Password are something you will choose.  Make sure you choose something you will remember.
• After finishing this page, choose Continue.

 

 

3.

 

·        At this screen you will enter the user name and password that you just chose and click OK.

• You need to add your WebCT classes. Click Add course.

·        You will get a page similar to this one.  You may have to select the category your class is in.  Scroll down the page until you find the name of the course you wish to add and click on it.

·        You will be given another login prompt.  Here you will enter the user name and password given to you by the professor of that class, then click Continue.

 

6.                 Once you have supplied a valid user name and password you will get a message similar to the following:

 

 

• You can add any other WebCT classes you have, go directly to the class you just added, or go back to your WebCT home area.
