Historical Geology provides an introduction to the geological and biological evolution of the Earth.  Lectures trace the history of the Earth as recorded in the rock record, and expose students to concepts and techniques geologists use to unravel Earth history. Laboratory exercises and field trips provide hands-on experience identifying fossils, interpreting paleoenvironments, and exploring the geologic history of Pennsylvania.
