SUBJECT: Pre- Calculus

TOPIC: Logic

INTERACTIVITY: The student will read each of the three statements and construct a truth table on the bulletin board in order to answer the questions on the worksheet. They will have to construct three truth tables.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  1. Read the first statement.
  2. On the worksheet, fill in the first two questions pertaining to statement one.
  3. Construct the truth table for the first statement on the bulletin board using the letters and symbols in the bags.
  4. Answer the third and final question about statement one.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for statements two and three.
  6. Complete the bonus question after the worksheet is complete.

TIME: It should take between 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION: The table is strips of paper spaced four inches apart. The letters and symbols were made using a dye machine and then laminated.

CREDIT: The worksheet will be worth a homework assignment and the bonus question will be worth three extra credit points.
