Statistics for the Social and Behavioral Sciences PSY/SOC/POL 200 |
Welcome to my web site for statistics.
In Fall 2006 I moved the course to Blackboard. I have left my handouts from past semesters available for old students--please feel free to contact me if you have questions. New students should obtain all course materials from Blackboard.
Many of you may be entering this class with some trepidation. I make every effort to make this material as understandable as possible. Please feel welcome to meet with me to address any questions that arise. Stefanie, our graduate assistant, is also available for meetings.
How to succeed in this class.
1. Read the text.
2. Come to class on time, every day, prepared to ask questions.
3. Do your homework; leave plenty of time to do it - consult the text book when
necessary.
4. Keep a copy of your homework and check it against the answers I post.
5. Seek assistance as soon as you run into difficulties.
6. Practice, practice, practice - your textbook has many practice
problems, the study guide does too. In addition, there are online resources and
practice quizzes you can take.
The text for this course has been and will continue to be:
Essentials of Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences
5th Edition ©2005
ISBN: 053463396X

Text Study Guide
I also recommend the study guide that accompanies it - although it is not
a required text.
Study Guide for Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences
5th Edition ©2000
