First, let’s check the version of an operating system on your TI.
Press 2ND then MEM
• Above the + button on TI-84/83 Plus.
• Above the 6 button on TI-89 Titanium.
Then, you will see this (on TI-84/83 Plus): |

While 1:About is selected, press ENTER.
Then, you will see a display similar to this.
Note the version of your current operating system. |

Now check the latest OS version at the TI website.
Go to this link if you own a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus.
Go to this link if you own a TI-89 Titanium.
If a newer version is available, download it.

Download the new OS
onto your Desktop. |
You must have TI Connect software installed on your computer.
If you do not have it, you can download it from this link.

Run the installer! |
Launch TI Connect. Then, launch TI Device Explorer.
Then, drag & drop the new OS file onto the Explorer’s window.
