| Items in the Feed Now that a feed has been generated, you want to add items in the feed. Remember the analogy of the feed being a radio station’s program schedule and items being shows? Click on Items: ![]() In the Required window, type the Title of your podcast and its Description. I recommend that you use a date as an integral part of the title. It will help your students sort items once they are downloaded into their iTunes. Usually, you will want to upload your mp3 file into the same directory where its feed is uploaded. So, specify the Link accordingly within your website. ![]() Click on Optional, and you will see a window like the one below. You will now enclose the mp3 file into the feed. Click on the triangle for Enclosure. In the resulting sub-window, type the URL that is exactly the same as the link specified above. ![]() Click on Select, and you will be presented with the usual navigation window of your operating system. Navigate to the mp3 file and click on Open. You are making a hard link from the feed to the physical media file on your local drive. ![]() The three fields in red below will automatically be populated. FeedForAll has determined the Length and MIME Type of the mp3 file. Then, it created a hard link to the Filename of the mp3 file on your local drive. ![]() From the File menu, choose Save to save the updated information of the item for the feed. ![]() This concludes the creattion of an item in the feed.
