Three (3) paper exams, each worth 100 points, will be given.
   
Makeup Exam
You must have a valid verifiable proof for your absence to request a makeup.
(For example, if you were ill, you must provide a note from a doctor’s office.)
If your request is granted, the makeup is given during the week before the finals week.
   
Final
The final is worth 100 points and its structure is the same as other exams.
The final is cumulative.
 
 
Points     
A possible maximum cumulative score in this course is 450 points.
The breakdown is:
• Quizzes (50 points): The top five (5) quiz scores count.
• Exams (300 points) 
• Final (100 points) 
 
 
Grading System
Your grade in this course is based on your cumulative score.

Description
MAT 274 – Calculus IV (3 sh)
This course is one of a series intended for students who major in mathematics, the sciences, or engineering. The topics include three-dimensional surfaces; the definition, properties, and partial differentiation of functions in more than one variable with applications; finding the extrema of functions in two variables; Lagrange multipliers; multiple integrals in various coordinate systems; Jacobians; line integrals in vector fields; and the application of Green's Theorem, the Divergence Theorem, and Stokes' Theorem. A graphing calculator is required for this course.
Prerequisites: MAT 273.
