Steve B. Lem is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Kutztown University.

He completed his B.A. (political science) at East Stroudsburg University in 2002. He subsequently completed his M.A. (political science) and Ph.D. (political science) at Binghamton University in 2005 and 2008 respectively. Dr. Lem joined the faculty at Kutztown University in the fall of 2008.

Dr. Lem routinely offers a variety of courses at KU. His typical course offerings include:

• POL 010: American Government (Fall and Spring)
• POL 101: Social Science Research Design & Writing (Fall)
• POL 132: Western European Government (Every other Spring)
• POL 201: Empirical Political Analysis (Spring)
• POL 225: Planning & Decision-Making Theory (Spring)
• POL 509: Approaches and Methods in Political Science (Graduate course, Fall)

In addition to his typical course offerings, Dr. Lem provides advanced undergraduate quantitative methodology training for interested students via independent studies and/or individualized instruction. During the semester, these students typically prepare a professional-level quantitative research paper. Students' works have been presented at Berks County Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference and the Midwest Political Science Annual Conference.

Dr. Lem also serves as the Internship Coordinator for Political Science majors.
