Dr. Lem is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. He obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science from Binghamton University (SUNY) and joined the faculty at KU in 2008.
At KU, Dr. Lem primarily teaches the methodology courses for the undergraduate Political Science and Public Administration majors and the Masters in Public Administration students. He also serves as the internship coordinator for Political Science majors.
Dr. Lem pursues a wide range of research projects. He is interested in the comparative analysis of political parties in Western Europe, the development and crisis of the European welfare state, and third party politics in the United States. His secondary interests focus on transitional justice in post-conflict states.
