Librarians Index to the Internet (www.lii.org) A great alternative to Yahoo or Google that contains a wide variety of sites on just about every topic that are evaluated by librarians and subject specialists.  

Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (see CLCD link on CMC home page) This is a paid database available to KU faculty, students, and staff who are interested in children's literature. It is is a WONDERFUL resource. (For more information see: http://www.childrenslit.com/)
