MS Academic Alliance FAQs

What if I forgot my password?
Go to KU's MSDNAA web site  & click on the "I've forgotten my password" link.  Your full KU email is your id.

How can I install software on my off-campus computer?
Only attempt to download from campus.  If you want to install on you own desktop machine off campus, download the required files to a high-capacity flash drive (512 should be sufficient for most Microsoft "Disks")  Alternatively, you can bring a blank writable CD into the lab, download locally & immediately write to your disk.  For most of this software, you will need to keep track of your license number as well.

What if the download does not work?
Downloading does not always work. If it doesn't work for you, use the system to request a free disk.  You only pay shipping.  Unfortunately, Visual Studio 6 is being phased out by Microsoft. They apparently will no longer ship disks of this product.

What if I didn't get an MSDNAA email that I was expecting?
The initial email you get from MSDNAA might be flagged as spam.  Check your junk folder
