Directions for logging on to Blackboard .

1)  Go to the web address: http://blackboard.kutztown.edu/

2)  Click on the Log In button.

3)  Log in to the Blackboard Account which has been created for you.  Your username is the same as your KU e-mail account ñ the first four letters of your last name(in Capital Letters) followed by the last four digits of your social security number. 

Example:  For John McGillicuddy (Soc. Sec. # 123-45-6789), his username is MCGI6789. 

Your password is the first four letters of your last name (again in Capital Letters) followed by your date of birth in the format YYYYMMDD.

Example: If Mr. McGillicuddy was born August 29, 2004 his password would be MCGI20040829.

DO NOT change your password during Add/Drop.  Since the user files will be updated daily during this period your password will be reset every day to the original one assigned to you.  Once add/drop is over you can change your password and it should stay changed.

 4) The first screen that should come up when you successfully log in is your Blackboard home page.  On it  should be links to the courses you are signed up for

5)  Click on the CHM214 Link.
