Notes:
Charged CDs can migrate themselves.
Derivatized cyclodextrins with negative charges migrate slower than electroosmotic flow They are swimming toward the anode, but at a rate slower that EOF.
Nuetral species become separated based on their ability to form a complex with the charged CD.
This system has a finite elution window.
If the analytes do not include in CD at all (K=0) they will elute with EOF
If K is very large (spend all their time in the CD) then they will elute with the charged CD.
Qualitatively, if the elution window is very small, we don’t have much hope for great resolution. The larger the elution window, the better chance we have to enhance resolution.
