Teaching
Dr.
Charisse Baldoria is currently a professor at Kutztown University of
Pennsylvania where she has been teaching since 2003, soon after she got her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano
performance from the University of Michigan where she taught as a Graduate
Student Instructor.
As
visiting professor at the University of the Philippines from 2006-2008,
she taught Baroque Piano Literature, Classical Period Piano Literature, Piano
Seminar and Masterclasses, harpsichord lessons, and piano lessons. Dr.
Baldoria helped establish the harpsichord program at the
University of the Philippines. Formerly known as the Piano Department,
the Keyboard Department is now offering Harpsichord as a minor. In
addition, non-music majors and non-UP students may now take Harpsichord
lessons through the college's Extension Program.
Other
courses she has taught include: Latin American Music and
Culture, Harmony and Theory I, three levels of Class Piano, and Introduction
to Music Literature.
