  Teaching

Dr. Charisse Baldoria became Assistant Professor at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2003, soon after she got her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from the University of Michigan where she taught as a Graduate Student Instructor.

On leave from Kutztown University since 2006, she now teaches as an Associate Professor of Keyboard at the University of the Philippines.  This academic year, she will be teaching Classical Period Piano Literature, Piano Seminar and Masterclasses, and individual piano lessons.

Other courses she had taught in the past include:  Latin American Music and Culture, Harmony and Theory I, three levels of Class Piano, and Introduction to Music Literature.

Dr. Baldoria is helping establish the harpsichord and early music program at the University of the Philippines.  Formerly known as the Piano Department, the Keyboard Department will now offer Harpsichord as a minor.  In addition, non-music majors and non-UP students may now take Harpsichord lessons through the college's Extension Program.
