Baldoria, Composer
Miss Baldoria is also as a composer of electronic and commercial music.
She has written and arranged commercial music for television and radio
advertisements, including music for Philippine Airlines, the Philippine Long
Distance Telephone Company, Landbank
of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, and the
Philippine National Oil Company, among many others. She also wrote music for a movie Anak ng Bayan (Son of the Nation), a movie on the Philippine hero
and revolutionary Andres Bonifacio, presented on national television.
While at Michigan, she studied composition with Erik Santos and Susan
Botti, and electronic music composition under Evan Chambers and Erik
Santos, also taking Performing Arts and Technology classes. Her composition Throb---a composition utilizing digitally manipulated
pulsar pulses- and inspired by Philippine ethnic rhythms---was featured in the 2001 Electronic Music Microfestival
in Ann Arbor.
