This example will show you how to graph functions of the form x = f (y).

Press MODE. Then, you will see this: |

| In order to graph x = y 2, for example, let x = t 2 and y = t. Since the TI is in the parametric mode, pressing X,T,θ,n displays T, not X. Enter X1T = T2 and Y1T = T. |

| If the lower-half of the parabola does not show, think why first. Recall that Y1T = T. The lower-half of the graph has points whose y-coordiates are nagative. That is why we need to start Tmin with a nagative value. Press WINDOW. Then, change the value of Tmin as shown here. Then, press GRAPH again. |
